The location was ideal, situated right on the beach and a boardwalk towards bars, restaurants which was a short walk away giving a scenic route. We stayed at the Soco hotel for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. Michelle was just simply next level, she booked restaurants, she booked excursions, she booked nail appointments, she booked taxis and amongst all this she made us drinks too!! Michelle you are a jewel in the crown and we thank you. in particular we had Jamel and Ashleigh on the front desk that did what they could in times of need, but then you have the best of the best in Shane, Damien and the almighty Michelle on the bar. they are simply unbelievable and literally made our stay what it was. The hotel itself needs a little maintenance in places and bringing back up to standards, however that didn’t deter us and the rooms in general were clean and spacious. Unfortunately we had numerous issues to face in regards to our room we were in and ended up being moved 4 separate occasions in the first 5 nights! Although the management were very hands on, and attentive, I feel we must have just been highly unlucky and for me this ruined our honeymoon to some extent as we could never really settle. Mixture of emotions about this place, as overall we had a pleasant stay.
We have just returned from an 8 night stay at the Soco for our honeymoon.
